logo-tech4islands-2x.png

Award winner of The Grand Prix TECH4ISLANDS Polynesia 2021

We have developed a ready-made kit of circular economy that combines traditional skills with modern techniques

THE GOAL?

To propose a global solution to current

issues:

Food waste

Sustainable management of bio-waste

The promotion of a healthy diet through traditional Polynesian foods

WHERE TO DEPLOY IT?

A genuine innovative educational tool, this kit can be deployed on strategic sites within a community, such as schools, churches and neighborhoods.

WHAT'S IN IT ?

COMPOST

Organic waste that is produced on site is recycled into compost through our wooden composter. This composter is managed by users.

The generated compost will be used for the communal vegetable garden, where healthy Polynesian foods can be grown, e.g. tarua, taro, umara, bananas, papayas, pineapples, fafa, taratoni, and so much more !

"We have implemented Nīnamu Solutions' kit in our health-labelled school almost two years ago. This tool has allowed us to work through the curriculum in an innovative and motivating way, and to educate the entire school and its neighborhood about better compostable waste management on a daily basis."

Ghislaine BARRIER

Director of Maharepa Elementary School in Moorea,
School labelled in health
